"Holy Spirit"
There's nothing worth more that will ever come close
No thing can compare, You're our living hope
Your presence, Lord

I've tasted and seen of the sweetest of loves
Where my heart becomes free and my shame is undone
Your presence, Lord

Holy Spirit, You are welcome here
Come flood this place and fill the atmosphere
Your glory, God, is what our hearts long for
To be overcome by Your presence, Lord

I've tasted and seen, of the sweetest of loves
Where my heart becomes free, and my shame is undone
By Your presence, Lord

Let us become more aware of Your presence
Let us experience the glory of Your goodness

He is Risen indeed!
Hallelujah!
As the disciples waited in the dark for three days--
so we wait with longing for You.
But not with sorrow. We know You are coming.
And we know we have the Great Comforter.

Thank You Lord for Your Holy Spirit.
We need it today to fill our lives.
After the joy of resurrection Sunday,
we need Your strength for everyday Monday.
We want to continue to live in Your presence.

For the young woman flying home to help her family
For the mother comforting the endlessly crying baby
For the soldier walking into a meeting
For the chaplain planning his sermon
For the teacher looking into her students' eyes
For the general studying the morning briefings
For our leaders, with a platform where they can proclaim You
Lord, fill our hearts with Your presence.
Fill our mouths with Your words.

Flood our places Lord! Fill our atmosphere:
on every post
in every chapel
in the barracks
in the offices
inside the tank and the stryker and the plane and the helicopter
in the hospitals
in our homes
in our childrens' schools and buses and playgrounds
in the moving vans and cars taking us to new ministries

We know You are here. Open our eyes to it. And be unleashed!

Be unleashed in our ranks Lord. Our soldiers so desperately need You. Heal the warriors' hearts. We ask You to speak to the suicidal--surround them with a love and a hope they cannot explain. Settle their physical imbalances. May their dark night be a turning point to You.

We confess our pride frequently blocks Your presence. Thank You for forgiving us and breaking the shame.

We pray today for our leaders: from the Commander in Chief to the Sunday School teacher of the 3-year olds. May they be overcome by You. May they lead on as joyful warriors, knowing You have already won all the battles. May our Christian leaders be contagious. Lord we want revival!

Thank You for being with us today--for surrounding us with Your Glory everyday.
Amen.
